My space

Further information

Not one modality completely works for one person so I bring many counselling techniques to my work. I start using person-centred counselling, which allows the counselling to be tailored to what the client needs. When there is a basis of what the focus will be, I can tailor the work using cognitive behavioural therapy (exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviours) creative, art and playwork, systemic therapy (looking at the family dynamics and the people around the client) and psychodynamic.

Working with children and young people I have found it is useful to use creative arts and play to keep it engaging and to allow a young client a voice when they do not know what to say. This could be through drawing, painting, music, sand, clay and playdough, storytelling and games.

Counselling with me takes place from my office in Kenilworth. This is an upstairs room in the building. My office has a gid comfy sofa with lovely cushions, to give the space a homely feel. I have many creative tools, games and cards to keep young people engaged in our sessions. The building is straight across from Abbey Fields car park which offers 2 free hours of parking. It is easily accessible from Kenilworth High Street.
I can also offer online sessions - Please let me know if this is what you would prefer.
