Further information

I mainly use person centred counselling, which allows the counselling to be tailored to what the client needs. When there is a basis of what the focus will be, I can tailor the work using cognitive behavioural therapy (exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviours) creative, art and play work and systemic therapy (looking at the family dynamics and the people around the client).

Working with children and young people I have found it is useful to use creative arts and play in order to keep it engaging and to allow a young client a voice when they do not know what to say. This could be through drawing, painting, music, sand, clay and playdough, storytelling and games.

Counselling with me takes paces from The Park Counselling Centre in Coventry City Centre. There are many counselling rooms within the centre, some on the ground floor and others on the second floor. There is a waiting room which is accessible before sessions and for parents/carers to wait during the sessions. The centre is easily accessible from the city centre, on street parking (max 2 hours) and public transport accessible near by. I can also offer online sessions.
