About Helen

When your child is struggling and you don’t know how to help, it’s heartbreaking . You feel frustrated, out of control and overwhelmed. Your child is missing out and you are afraid for their future.

I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to do this alone anymore.

I have worked with young people for more than 20 years; as an arts teacher and then I moved into counselling. The therapeutic arts have been part of my life for even longer. After 3 decades of experience, I have seen how powerful they are to move people through challenges in their lives.

My space

Further information

This is especially helpful when working with children & teenagers who cannot put their feelings into words. Art and play gives them access to imaginative ways to express their feelings and communicate their needs.

I incorporate different techniques depending on the needs of the client, working collaboratively with children and their families. Together we explore the thoughts and feelings behind everyday challenges. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space, meeting the individual where they are.

It is such a relief for parents when the family home is happier, calmer and more connected. It is also a very empowering experience as they walk away with a set of tools they can use together in the future when life gets tough.

Life simply feels easier.

There is hope again.

Therapy doesn't have to be scary. In fact, I make sure it feels sacred.

I hold space for those who work with me to feel seen and heard, incorporating different techniques depending on the needs of the client and working collaboratively.

In my own personal life I have worked through deep loss and grief. I have a high level of knowledge, qualifications and experience but I am still human who knows what it is like to feel lost.

It was therapy that turned my own life around and now, 28 years after I started my own self development journey, I am the living example of how powerful and life changing it is to ask for help.

This allows me to demonstrate deeper compassion for those who seek my help and I endeavour to treat every individual with the kindness I know I needed during my most challenging of times.
