UB10I work in a child-centered way, following the PACE approach in creative therapy. PACE stands for Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy.
My approach to creative therapy includes storytelling, painting, drawing, sandplay, puppetry, bodywork, movement, etc. This gives children choice to express their thoughts and feelings in ways other than just verbally. Play in therapy allows for me to witness a story as it unfolds and gives a safe space to honour that process, where children can be understood.

SM1I qualified as a Play Specialist in 2008 and a Family Systemic Practitioner in 2015. I run a private practice through my established company, The Play Specialist Service and my vision is to provide emotional and practical support for families in uncertain times and difficult circumstances. The play techniques which are used are very integrative and are individually tailored to each child / young person.
The service provides a template for professionals and family members to use and I provide bespoke training opportunties.
