Health Anxiety

Children or young people experiencing health anxiety are continually anxious about their or other peoples health. Sometimes parents can experience health anxiety about their children’s health.

This may involve becoming convinced that they or others are seriously ill, researching symptoms online, seeking continued tests and consultation, acting like they are ill, which they may genuinely believe they are, or avoiding situations they believe will make them ill or exacerbate their symptoms.
